superb specimen

a new idea for the blog. Beautiful plants or balconies that I (or we) find around. And ask some questions about them to the owners. If you want to take part in,or talk about special plants, let me know!

I was impressed when some months ago I discovered this ficus benjamina variegata in a windowshop near my work. Yesterday I came into the shop and asked a few questions to his owner:
-How old is she? She is seventeen years old.
-How many times have you transplanted her? Only once, eight years ago.
-How often do you water her? Once a week, with a 1,5l bottle.

The girl was so nice, she is in the photo (I asked her to pose, for the scale!). She insisted in the importance of the place, this one is in a corner with a lot of light. Thank you!

  3. ¡Qué maravilla de ficus! Espero que el mio llegue un día a ser como ese... (Por cierto, no le vendría mal un transplante y que le pusieran en una jardinera bonita).
