El sacrificio de la ambición

Great find at the market! While making time for lunch at the restaurant I have found this second hand book at a local market. "Vademecum del arquitecto de jardines" it is his name. Inside the book were some old papers. It is a very interesting one, I love this pompous chapter title "El sacrificio de la ambición".

Pequeñas cosas que me han hecho feliz esta mañana: una bonita foto en el nuevo Art & Decoration y un libro, que he comprado en el mercadillo, sobre diseño de jardines. Me ha llamado la atención el título de este capítulo: "El sacrificio de la ambición", me encantan estos libros antiguos.

I wanted to buy Siri Hustvedt´s book but yesterday when I went to the public library to return a book I saw it at the bookcase! So happy, I am enjoying the reading. Kate morton and Espinàs will have to wait.

Ayer fui a la biblioteca y me encontré con que el libro de Siri Husvedt estaba libre. Que alegría, me lo quería comprar estas vacaciones pero mucho mejor así.

I bought a lot of second hand books during my holidays ... the suitcase was very heavy! My husband was grumbling triying to bring it up on the train.

I am enjoying reading the adventures of Chris Stewart at the Alpujarras in Andalucia (Spain). Twenty years ago he bought and isolated old house at the mountains and set up an organic farm. They are three books. The first one is called "Driving over lemons".

lately I am a little obsessed with roses. I want to plant some of them at my squatted garden (at my  in-laws orchard...). I received last week the David Austin Roses catalogue and I am triying to choose some of them. And do you know this great book?

From work some plants without flowers waiting for a kind hearted soul to adopt them.

Ivy and The secret garden

at Easter holidays I bought The secret garden (by Frances Hodgson Burnett) to my daughter. Some years ago I saw the film (by Agnieszka Holland), but I wanted to 

read the book . It´s a very nice one, for childs and adults. We are enjoying our bedtime reading.
